Fence art, St Michael's College, Henley Beach

I was commissioned by St Michael's College to produce a cup-artwork as part of the school's art week (6-10 March 2017). Many thanks to the school for the opportunity to share my methods of cup art with the students.

Using 1024 plastic cups, spray painted in 8 different colours, I produced two portraits:

On Tuesday, I worked with year 8, 10 and 12 students to create a portrait of the late Indigenous artist, Albert Namatjira

On Wednesday students helped me remove the cups and re-order them into their eight colours. I also demonstrated flagging tape art, creating a simple beach-themed design.

On Thursday, I worked with year 11 students to re-use the cups to create a portrait of Vincent van Gogh
